Mara Paras received her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University in 2025, and joined Advent in 2026. She is a member of CAMFT and Psi Chi, and brings with her a background in hospitality and early childhood education that has helped shape her strong communication skills and deep sense of empathy. During Mara's graduate practicum, she provided school-based services to middle and high school students and staff, gaining valuable experience supporting youth and the broader school community.
Mara is passionate about relationships and the process of building and restoring connection. She enjoys working with teens, adults, and families, and has a particular interest in supporting clients navigating relationship challenges, attachment wounds, anxiety, depression, and trauma.
As a Southern California native, Mara has called the Bay Area home for over a decade. In her free time, she prioritizes self-care by reading with a cup of coffee or tea, writing, listening to music, exercising, and spending quality time with loved ones.
