Meet Joe
I am passionate about walking alongside individuals, couples, and families as they pursue healing, growth, and healthier relationships. My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and grounded in creating a safe space where clients feel supported, understood, and empowered to navigate life’s challenges.
My Background
I am currently completing my M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy at Touro University California. Prior to entering the mental health field, I spent several years working in the health and fitness space helping people become the best versions of themselves physically, mentally, and emotionally. I have also spent years serving in youth and young adult ministry, mentoring and supporting individuals through life transitions, relational struggles, stress, and personal growth. These experiences strengthened my passion for helping people develop healthy coping skills, improve communication, establish boundaries, regulate emotions, and build meaningful connections.
Areas of Focus
I work with adolescents, young adults, adults, couples, and families experiencing anxiety, ADHD, stress and burnout, relational conflict, life transitions, emotional regulation difficulties, and family-related challenges. I utilize evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, and family systems theories while tailoring therapy to each client’s unique needs and goals. For clients who desire it, I also welcome integrating Christian faith into the therapeutic process.
Education
B.S. in Kinesiology, San Jose State University
M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy, Touro University California (in progress)
Fun Facts About Joe
Outside of therapy, I enjoy strength training, boxing, camping, movies, spending time with my wife and dog, and serving in church men’s and young adult ministries.
