Amber is a counselor in training, working on her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy at Western Seminary. She is passionate about creating a warm and welcoming space where people feel safe, heard, and supported. She works alongside individuals, couples, and families.

Before working with Advent, she volunteered as a youth leader through Young Life and her church’s High School Ministry. Through this experience, she learned how to mentor and support individuals through life’s stressors while encouraging personal growth.

Her areas of focus include navigating adjustments, managing change, alleviating anxiety, tackling parent and family issues, working through relationship challenges, and coping with life's stressors.

As a therapist, Amber works side by side with clients, guiding them through challenges and fostering positive changes in their lives. Her approach is flexible and holistic, drawing from evidence-based approaches including Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and others. She emphasizes building coping skills, increasing self-awareness, strengthening communication skills, and promoting overall emotional, spiritual, and psychological well-being.

Outside of counseling, Amber enjoys spending time with family, friends, and dogs. She enjoys swimming, hiking, camping, watching movies, going to the beach, and spending time in nature.
