Work Party Volunteer
The environment
in which our Residential Recovery Program clients
live is an important part of their treatment.
Many of our client's previous experiences with
treatment programs have been in environments that
were cold, sterile and impersonal. These kids
need a warm, comfortable and inviting home while
they are seeking recovery - somewhere they feel
safe and at ease, both physically and spiritually.
Advent is looking for individuals
and groups willing to volunteer their time to
keep our homes in good repair. Typical work party
projects include:
- Painting indoors and / or
outdoors
- Landscaping projects
- Building projects (basketball
courts, volleyball courts, sheds, etc.)
- Renovation projects
- Deep cleaning
- And many other projects /
repairs!
It is amazing what can be accomplished
in a Saturday afternoon! The time spent to improve
our homes gives our kids a better chance at recovery
and shows that there truly are people that care
about them.
