Friendship Families
A Friendship
Family consists of families or individuals who
reach out in friendship to our group home teens
on a regular basis. Friendship Families are especially
important as a way to expose our kids to loving
Christian families and to give them an opportunity
to develop meaningful relationships outside of
the group home. Many of these kids do not have
family or relatives who come to visit due to distance,
or other issues, so a Friendship Family offers
these kids the support and care they need. There
are many ways to reach out to our kids:
- Make or bring dinner
over to the group home and eat together
- Play cards / board
games / sports
- Lead a Bible study
- Teach a class
- Decorate for the holidays
- Invite the boys into
your home for the holidays
- Invite the boys to
a church event / potluck / other events
- Just be a friend to
a lonely teen
